OUTSTANDING CITIZEN

The Junior Auxiliary of Amory awards and acknowledges a Citizen of the Year at the annual JA Charity Ball. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at the Old Armory in Amory, MS. This award will be presented to two individuals, one male and one female, in the community whose volunteerism, outstanding service, and dedication have made a significant contribution to the community of Monroe County.

The nominee’s traits should include some of the following:


  • Shows dedication to the advancement of the community
  • Cares for and contributes to the welfare of members of the community
  • Makes a positive impact in the community
  • Has past or present achievements
  • Honest with great integrity
  • Serve on service, school, church, or community committees

If you would like to nominate someone from our community that meets some or all of the above traits, please complete the nomination form. A nomination must be completed for a citizen to be considered. Nominees must live in Monroe County. The nomination form should be completed and turned in by Friday, December 20, 2024.​
